We really loved the google plus timeline of their recently released iPad app, so we decided to rebuild it with CSS3 and to mash it up with our popular img.ly photo stream. Check it out here.
It was almost a surprise how smooth the transitions work with CSS3 – even compared to the native counterpart.
So expect to see part of this experiment integrated into the img.ly redesign, which will be coming up soon. If you’re curious about the relaunch, make sure to follow @imgly or @9elements.
That said, we open sourced the code, so grab it on github if you like to play around.
